Marysville Fire has Ski Helmets

With winter here and ski/snowboard season upon us, Marysville Fire has outfitted themselves with winter sports helmets. The helmets are provided by Safe Kids Snohomish County and all profits go to stocking more helmets throughout the winter months. According to Safe Kids USA, "Helmets, when worn properly can prevent or reduce the effects of 53 percent of the head injuries suffered by children in the United States while skiing or snowboarding." The winter helmets are very reasonably priced at $20 and come in sizes small through large. To get fitted for a helmet drop by the Marysville station or schedule an appointment with Kristen Thorstenson by calling 360-363-8507. The Marysville Fire Station is located at 1094 Cedar Avenue and is staffed between 8am and 5pm. Helmets are only available while supplies last, so hurry down!
